1. The Physical Aspects

Peat-fibers are found in the outermost leaf of the stem of sheathed cotton sedge (Eriophorum Vaginatum) which grows on raised bogs. The cycle of growth and death of Eriophorum atop the bog creates layer upon layer of vegetative material held in a unique preserved state between growth an decay. Owing to the acidic and anaerobic nature of the bog, the stem and root of the plant do not decompose totally but deteriorate into the fiber. This process has been going on for 100’s and even 1000’s of years. The peat moors contain trees, bushes and even entire forests of the old times. The physical components and the vital life-forces of such peat have therefore been conserved therein in a pristine manner because it has been shielded from any of the radiations of the last centuries.

The physical components and properties in Peat-Fiver are these:

High content of Silicic acid; Silic, SiO2 (=Quartz, which has a strong affinity with Light & the Cosmic Environment and therefore absorbs it). Our skin also contains a relatively large portion of silicic acid. The effect of silicon is that it creates a skin, like a film, and averts and blocks;
Humin-particles (which is part of the process of brown coal > carbon > diamond). Human skin also contains relatively large amounts of silicic acid, and in the melanin-producing pigment cells we have a process similar to the humin-system. Light with especially short wavelengths damages proteins and thus cells. Human skin transforms short-wave into long-wave radiation with the help of endogenous melanin. Melanin, related to the humins, is the skin pigment a.k.a. freckles, which operate as a defense mechanism against negative exterior stimuli. Because of this substance can the Peat-fibers transform the cold shortwave energy into longwave warmth/heat radiation. The medicinal effect is mainly attributed to the humic substances (fulvic acid and humic acid) and these demonstrate the protective cocooning qualities of Peat-Fiber;
Peat-Fiber acts aseptically (antibacterial, antiviral, fungicidal) & it absorbs moisture;
